Last week, I think it was Friday, the temperature was a record breaking 108 degrees. The last few days were unusually cool, including a sixty-something degree day. We’ll be back to nearly normal starting today.

The list of things to do here I had in my head for 360 days is nearly complete. I haven’t picked up a book but one time at the one and only visit to the pool since I’ve been here. I’ve been busy. Unusually busy for me.

Mom and I had gone to Nikki’s salon so Mom could get her perm and I went next door to a mattress store and found a couple of mattresses. After I went to the next store in the other direction to find another bracelet for Daughter, one with Eagle Eye stones (I got her a Tiger Eye last year from the same store), it was my turn for a haircut. Nikki was the last person to cut my hair back in Dec. 2014. She took before and after pictures. She also collected my little pony tail in a rubber band and gave it to me.

After Mom was done I took her next door to try out the mattress I’d found for her. She liked it. So she bought it. She also bought the cheaper one for me. That is the first brand new mattress I’ve ever had.

More cleaning. (I cleaned an oven for the first time in my life!)

More sorting.

More cleaning.

More errands.

So yeah, the mattress guy delivered the mattresses last evening. I remade Mom’s bed with fresh laundered linens. I threw my two blankets on my new mattress.

And this morning I woke up at 6:30 after sleeping through the night without waking up one or more times. And Mom said she had slept very well. So I guess I got lucky in picking the right mattresses. I was really expecting I’d be shopping in dozens of stores before Mom found the “right” one. I got lucky.

So yeah, I’ll be going to the pool this morning as soon as I finish this third and last cup of coffee.
