Sometimes I get concerned about babycakes…he’s slower to hit the milestones but he hits them eventually. I’m not use to that and it scares me as Andrew is my Asperger’s kid was ahead of him at this stage. Sigh. He’s calm and loving. I looked up all the signs of autism. Some he might have, some not so much.. He likes to ignore me when I call him his name but usually responds to his brothers (total stinker) There was a girl on you tube that was dx at 16 months with autism and she didn’t interact with anybody and just went back and forth in the house. There were other videos of appropriate play and not. Of course I scanned over babycakes today to see how he did, if I could pick up signs if he was. If my heart would sink. Some times he would ignore me or his name. Sometimes he would make eye contact but most of the time he wanted attention, snuggles and who can deny that he loves his daddy. He stands by the gate and gets pissed, growling, howling, whining till his father comes and picks him up. Okay babycakes, you are fine..... he’s learning. He’s just realizing he likes video’s on my phone and wants to watch them over and over. He loves to quack like a duck. Will not do any of the other animals but ducks.

He’s a happy little cuddler. He doesn’t get into to much and he’s most of the time quiet as a mouse. He’s a very easygoing little guy. Not in a rush to do anything fast. He’s very laid back. Although at the doctors office all he did was give attitude.

He was mad at PT for making him work on stuff. I told PT he was born with a sacral dimple. She said most children with those walk much later too. HS e said she didn’t remember seeing that in his chart. I told her that they did an ultrasound at 4 months but didn’t say anything about it. Could be a possible tethered cord or maybe not?? I told her I was surprised they put it on his paperwork but its on there and its true, He does have one.

She was happy with his progress. I’m getting a little more relived.

He sees the ortho-doctor tomorrow. Little guy is lots of work.

I volunteered today with the asthma coalition. I enjoy helping them out.
