Penned by a friend in Trump presidency

I’m literally all talked out about the politics of today. I couldn’t even hold back at my clients house. I’m at the point where I’m done with just nodding my head and keeping my thoughts to myself.

That being said, a friend of mine posted this as her status, and I couldn’t have said it any better. She has given me permission to share.

Today in fascism:
An Executive Order was signed allowing not for profit religious organizations to have a political voice and donate money to politics.

Blatant violation of the First Amendment, but you know…god.

A healthcare bill that every health organization regardless of conservative or liberal objects to (even the AARP!) passed the House of Representatives. Every. Single. Healthcare. Organization. Objects. Is that clear? THIS BILL REMOVES REQUIRED PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS COVERAGE. If you have something as simple as GERD or high blood pressure you are now subjected to much higher premiums. Something as common as asthma can make you uninsurable. This quite literally signs a death warrant for people that cannot afford coverage or out of pocket costs to manage their diseases. Things like cancer, lupus, RA, HAE, Autism, Mental Health coverage - all pre-existing conditions.

Now the House Republicans are on a goddamn bus to go celebrate with the President. Go back little puppy dogs. He called, you heeled. You ignored the needs of the American people in favor of a juicy steak with Trump.

You are the very definition of fascism. You are the toys of an autocratic, nationalistic leader who pulled your strings like a puppet master and YOU LET HIM.

So, for all the perfectly healthy people who have never even had allergies (pre-existing condition), are a woman (pre-existing condition), or over the age of 65 (pre-existing condition), enjoy your short time with a possibly lower premium. But save your money, because as soon as life hits you you’re screwed too.

Good luck.
