If this moment is fleeting, and outside it’s sleeting, will you risk it all? Take the chance, slip and fall?
If pain is pleasure, will you count these measures, see what’s hidden? That my love is sick, dying and bed-ridden?
If you have the remedy and this isn’t a comedy, Will you save me? Maybe this one-man play wouldn’t have to be a tragedy.
If you could read your lines and take your cues, Would you just read the signs? Should I write these words in plainer sight?
