that line in poetry

try to keep yourself mentally-liminal
make your mind into a supercollider
crash ideas together at the speed of light
go bathe yourself in the subatomic spray
so brilliant you can’t sleep at night
find these new things still unnamed
these are the things better than fame
you can’t imagine things that aren’t yet
if you’re not at least a little crazy
moreover you can’t make them real
if you’re not at least a little sane
the key is to be mentally-liminal
the key is to hold that position
the key is to keep straddling that line
the key is bathe in the collisions
for as long as you can
it won’t last forever
but you can do it for a time
you will not last forever
but for some interval
please try
make yourself mentally-liminal
it is the only way
we can ever know anything
good or new
it is the only way
the world will ever know you
