Kaneh-Bosm is a Hebrew phrase (phonetically of course) for the oil Jesus used to anoint and cleanse feet with. Ok, that’s a celebrity endorsement, he didn’t invent the stuff, the recipie is older and, depending on who you ask, comes from a tradition of shaman or just mystic jews. What does this have to do with the price of crawdads in Baton Rouge you ask? Nothing. You wanna buy some used crawdads? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
He thing about the oil is it had medicinal value, like eucalyptus, camphor, frankincense and (getting to what could possibly be a point that DOES NOT have to do with baton rouge and sea cockroachs) marijuana.
Years ago when I was just visiting, my older sister, a woman of liberal political views but personally conservative (e.g. square, straight, whatever you’d like that describes a person with a narrow view acceptable behavior) offered me Jesus Juice for my suddenly over humidified and crunchy joints. Her Jesus Juice smelled great but had no effect, topically on my inflammations.
Kaneh-Bosm Healing Cream is the only item on the Michigan Medicinal menu anywhere near like Jesus Juice. I’m going to add a link instead of put the article in here; http://www.njweedman.com/kanehbosm.html. There are a few historical flaws, and perhaps other types of flaws as well, but the quoted verses and properties are interesting as well as the (I suspect well spackled) tidbits of historical background.
I went to the wrong place and so I couldn’t get to my question as those folks had never heard of any such thing. There is a topical I use that despite all state and federal laws I think should be immediately available to everybody; it doesn’t get you high and it works better than any topical I’ve ever used including prescription topicals like Voltarin. It does, however, have a lot of THC in it and CBD. I wanted to know if the company releasing the Hebrew named cream used THC and CBD or, like many of that sort of thing CBD. Legally CBD products could be OTC; no illicit pleasure, no high, no way of making into a high. Funny how many (I’d say roughly half) of “budtenders” (I know it’s like calling yourself a barista because you can pour coffee) tell me not to get a CBD product cause “it does nothing”. They mean you can’t get a case of medicinal munchies. It is, however, where anti-inflammatory properties come from in the plant. Like most herbal rememdies, the sum of the parts are greater as a whole. Hmmm, that doesn’t look right; it works better when you don’t isolate pieces.
My sisters Jesus juice was homemade, possibly by her, but, I think by her “caretaker” which is how the law used to work; no dispensaries, assigned growers to assigned patients. I think it was made wrong, probably by accident. I mean the scent was great and it smelled like something you’d want Jesus to rub into your feet, so that part someone put a lot of work into it. It’d work for a sensuous massage. It’d be real cool if Kaneh-Bosm Healing Cream was the same stuff but with the power of thc infused topicals. I don’t know. Yet. It’s possible Kaneh-Bosm is just the name of the company.
