We made the news, but not for the one I expected... in Watching Life Fly By

My last entry was about my job possibly making the news over a teacher and her alleged sexual relationship with our students. Well, that was “investigated” and then nothing more happened after about 4 days of questioning EVERYONE and dozens of kids holding to the same story. We are not updated because it’s a “personal” matter, but she still works with us.
However, another teacher/parent made the news this week. She is a former teacher at our school, her son is a sweet student we teach and quite active in our sports. She is ALWAYS at our football and baseball events watching him and cheering on his team. We all know her....so we thought. She was a teacher and a principal at our behavioral facility where we send students with behavioral disabilities that also have educational needs (the “bad special ed kids”). Well she was having sex and exchanging pictures/texts with minors there. GREAT. The newspaper had some headline about one of our county teachers arrested for relationships with students and seriously I expected to see the other teacher’s face…NOPE it was this parent! I’m wondering if it will do anything to change the “investigation” held on our teacher.
In other work news- we’ve had six students lose parents this year. This week was the hardest one for me because she was a long-term sub and a great friend of mine. Her oldest daughter is very close to me (she’s 17) and struggling to take care of her sisters while maintaing honor roll. They are the sweetest family and I hated that funeral last night.
Non-work: Not pregnant. Still trying. Chloe’s good. Mike’s good. Spring break is almost over (we return to work Monday). We did go to the zoo with friends this week. Chloe loved feeding giraffes and interacting with all the animals. We did a train ride etc. She was excellent. The other kids we were with did well too. One hurt his face bad because he wasn’t listening and flipped over a rope- concrete to the face sucked. Blood everywhere, all teeth intact so that was good. We had a good time overall- even our injured party. Today we will buy a few plants and plant those, grocery shop before everyone else does hopefully, and clean the house a little if Chloe cooperates. She loves to help clean which makes more of a mess!

Six kids? Damn, that's horrible. Not that all of the sex scandals are much better, but that's terrible.

Cancer for 2, heart attacks for 2, and 1 was suicide and I forget how the 6th one passed- I think it was a mixture of heart/lung/liver issues but I do not know what disease/condition she actually had.
