Grandma's Beef Noodles (Stroganoff)

  • 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cans of French onion soup
  • 1lb Beef Stew meat
  • Wide Egg Noodles
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Mix soups in a baking dish that has a lid (or can use aluminum foil on), adding a little water to help make it not so thick.
  3. Place beef stew meat into soup mixture.
  4. Cover and bake for 2 hours, or until meat is tender.^
  5. Boil noodles until soft.
  6. Ladle beef sauce over noodles and enjoy.

This is an old recipe my grandmother got from a dear friend of her's, that uses cans of Campbell's soup. To this day it's one of my favorite meals. It's so easy to make, and very delicious.

I have only found it once or twice, but I rather prefer the French onion soup with less sodium, if you can find it.

^ Careful not to overcook it. When it's done in the oven take it out immediately. The sauce is so hot it will continue to cook the beef even after it's taken out, so leaving it in the oven while the noodles cook, or while waiting for people can make the beef rubbery... Trust me, I've done this...
