goodbye, open diary. in --

I've been on that site since 2003. I relied on it as a place to save pieces of myself, to vent, and I relied on the community when I was a secretive teenager to support me or just read me without leaving anything in return. I liked knowing that perhaps someone was reading and listening, I didn't feel so isolated. I relied on it when I struggled with being a moody teenager, moved three states, all the breakups and bad relationships I had before, when I became pregnant with both of my children.I shared my joys, my fears, my daily life. And now it will all be gone.

I downloaded my diary but it just won't ever be the same. I am glad that many of you are here now. at least we have that.
