I am currently in the ISU Memorial Union and hour early for a new firm event. The event is a career fair for Chinese Language Students. LOTS of Mandarin flying around here. Though the firm has not asked me to learn the language; it certainly seems like it would be a good idea!

On another note, being on a college campus in my current state of mind CERTAINLY let’s me know how different I am. When I was in college, I was terribly fuzzy minded. Life pre-medication.
I spoke about this with my mom the other day. She mentioned how, smart as I was… there were always areas where I was “slow”… areas like maturity and so I also scenarios. Which made me think… my parents were the type that kept saying “hard work and determination are what matters” and they never discussed with us what limitations or struggles they saw. I wonder if, had they mentioned noticing a limitation, if I would have given up or if I would have asked them to help me overcome the limitation.

Oh well. I enjoy being clear headed and I enjoy finally having a real sense of myself.

Today: read back PB entries. Career Fair and Firm work. Resignation letter. Bar Association reports.
This Week: work on cases and find a place to live!
