ouroboros in poetry

the outer boroughs are an ouroboros
eating their own tail
a near-endless cycle of
which is the most hip
over-priced neighborhood
outside of Manhattan
eating each other and
themselves up with prices
higher and higher until
the only way eventually
to afford to work in New York City
is to rent an apartment in Albany
then do your sleeping on the Amtrak
as you commute to there and back
