Electric Blanket Woes in The Crimson Permanent Assurance

So, this Sunbeam electric blanket is about the best purchase I've ever made, especially when it is -11 outside, but I have discovered a problem the last couple of nights. It is like Ambien in a blanket form. I get remotely near it and I am out like a light and then waking up like a steamed tamale, way too hot and sweaty. I have woken up and fallen back asleep under/on this damn thing THREE times tonight. I feel bad because I told Tim I was coming to bed since I'm not working tonight but the stupid electric blanket on the couch has captured me THREE times. I finally wised up and turned it off, but the residual heat is still very alluring. I love the micro plush fabric, it's so soft and warm at the same time all by itself.

I would be eyebrows deep in work right now normally. 1:30-2am is some of the hardest times at night because I start to wear down naturally. At least I have already gotten some sleep in tonight! It is so cold outside. Can we just abandon this stupid life and move to Florida already? Because this winter thing sucks, this life sucks, why can't I just be around my family already? That would make a sucky job and difficult weather so much easier to deal with. But whatever, I begin to think Timothy will never actually move. Like Scarlett O'Hara, I will think about that tomorrow.
