18 months of horribleness in Work

18 months ago, we learned of another restructure at work. Not unexpected really, as I worked in a local authority and they were, and still are, having to cut spending by stupid amounts. I didn’t get a job in the new structure.
My time since then has been spent:
- Handing over my work to colleagues and other departments and frantically applying for internal jobs.
- Taking a Project Management qualification
- Signing on for Job Seekers Allowance
- 10 days in hospital
- Agency teaching special needs primary children
- Social research interviewing
- Learning I had been blackballed
- And finally getting a job that I am really happy with, working for a charity that supports unpaid family carers.
For my own purging, I shall do entries on each of these over the next unspecified amount of time. I daren’t promise myself to do them in a certain time scale because I know it won’t happen, but I will do them at some point because I want and need to.
