Christmas Day.

I did start writing my Christmas entry last night, but I wasn’t feeling very well, so I gave up and watch television and watch two programmes, one about Alan Bennett’s recent diaries 2005 to 2014 ‘Keeping On Keeping On’ This is followed by ‘The Lady in the Van’ abut the lady who lived in Bennett’s garden for fifteen years, I enjoyed both but I enjoyed the first most.

It is after when the shops closed I find we only a dribble of washing Liquid and no aluminium foil, likely a boy friend came to the rescue, he was coming to Christmas lunch and we settled down to eat at four o clock pm.

I went to Church for the Christmas Service, the Church was near full but it was full of happiness. The only letdown was a phone-call, we generally only use modal if things are wrong, it was Vodafone on Christmas morning puhing there ‘rewards’ what is the worth of a super-phone; rewards that are of little use to me!

We had our first Christmas dinner for two years, my Daughter did all the preparation and I the washing and draying! We watched ‘The Snowman’ and several episodes of ‘Dad’s Army’ we finished the night with a words game, I was a close to the winner and we were very tiered …….

Before bed I made my federate drink, one whisky glass with two pierces of ice, a quarter inch of Scotch Whisky, one slice of lemon topped up with Canada Ginger Ale, I will not need-ding to sleep; just a soft cushion on my head.
