Christmas spirit in At the foot of the hill

I seem to be real short on Christmas spirit this year. Gets worse every year. I did finally find my tiny tree and set it up on the pass-through in the kitchen. Lined up a bunch of knick-knacks along the ledge in the outside hall around our door and hung my poinsettia swag out. Santa and his sleigh are out there on a table in the corner. I’d feel awfully bad if somebody decided to swipe those pieces, but I don’t think that will happen.
Tall red tapers wrapped in miniature fake holly rings look pretty on my foyer stand. Angles of various styles and materials are perched on the chest of drawers beneath the pass-through window. They are waiting for the Holy family…I cannot find my Nativity set that should go there with the angels. I guess I’m done with the decorating. I don’t look for anyone to come visit anyhow, so what does it matter?
Papa and I went to Best Buy yesterday and I picked out my gift. A new Dell laptop. On sale for a lot less than I allotted. The Geeks are setting it up for us. This will probably be the last entry in post from this good old machine. It has developed too many glitzes lately and the hardware won’t support upgrades anymore. Can’t have that, can we?

(Sunday)
The geeks phoned while we were eating breakfast and Bob went right away and picked up the new machine. He tweeked on it almost all day and got my stuff transferred. I’m still trying to find some of it. So happy to get this app back. When I got here, this draft was here waiting for me. Yea!
