I am a creature of habit. I have a routine I follow every day. During the week I get up get ready for my worker to come. I read in the morning while she is here Then i shower and call Chocolatechip. She comes up and we talk for a while. She leaves and I do things around the apartment or watch tv in the afternoon. She comes up later and we watch Dr. Phil have dinner watch Ellen and then the news. I do the same thing every day almost and for some reason it gives me a sense of comfort and security.

A big part of my routine occurs on the first. Chocolatechip and I always go out together on the first. We take the social service van to the bank and Wal Mart. We get our checks and then do a little shopping. I like going out with her on the first. Despite getting anxious about going on the van and leaving my apartment I enjoy our trips to Wal Mart. It gets me out of my box for a while and I think it does me lot of good.

The problem of living with a routine is that occasionally something happens that upsets the apple cart. This month i could not go with Chocolatechip on the first. She had a doctors appointment that day. This time my worker took me to the bank and the Dollar General store. I paid my worker the money I owed her and then i got Chocolatechip her birthday present. i bought her a $50 DG gift card. Then we stopped at Krogers and Tudors. I got something fort breakfast and my worker went in Krogers and bought me some orange juice. Then we went home.

I remember I really had a hard time that day. I was worried my worker would not show up. I was very anxious that I could not get to the bank and do my Christmas shopping. Then after she left I fretted over finances and missing Chocolatechip that morning. I also had to go out on the 2nd and I was fretting over leaving my apartment for two days in a row. Anxiety was very high that day because my routine was disrupted.

It ended on al good note. Chocolatechip loved her Christmas present. That made me feel good. Another routine is that I order from Fox’s pizza on the first. This was no exception. Every time I order from them I get a steak and cheese sub heavy on the mayo with no tomato. This time Chocolatechip got a chicken fried salad. We enjoyed our dinner and did not have to cook or do dishes.

Then the 2nd comes around. I like to get out do my business and grocery shopping in the morning. This time my case manager could not take me until 2. Once again my routine was interrupted I waited for her all day and was very anxious. Again i fretted over fiances and having to leave my apartment By the time 2 came around i was a basket case. I was really glad to see her. I didn’t want to tell her a about my anxiety Despite my fears I left my apartment around 1:45 that afternoon. i was going to sit outside but she was already waiting.

We go to my bank on first. I get my social security check of $659. I left $150 in the bank for Comcast and got a money order for my rent for $216.75 T Then we went to Gumby’s Since Chocolatechip is having a birthday this month I agreed to buy her cigars I bought five cartons of Deans two for Chocolatechip and three for myself. Order came to $72 Then we went to Walmart.

We stopped at the Service desk first. I put $40 on my debit card. Then we di the shopping. i bought eleven Homestyle bakes. i also bought a DiGiorno frozen pizza. then two boxes of pancake mix two bottles of syrup two cans of Maxwell house coffee, two jars of creamer a tub of margarine and a case of pop. My order came to $85 something.

Wal Mart was packed. I was a bit anxious in the store. But my case manager was with me. Also I did not have to wait for a ride back home. We got home. She helped me carry groceries to my apartment. Chocolatechip called and I told her to come up. While I was putting groceries away she ordered from Fox’s This time she paid. We got the same thing.

i I bought two books while we were waiting for our order. I bought this one book yesterday afternoon. First was a biography about James Madison James Madison: A life Reconsidered by Lynn Cheney This was for $13.99f Then I bought a book called The Constitution: An Introduction by Luke Paulsen and MIchael Paulsen. This was for $18.99 Been eyeing this book f

Friday turned out to be a good day. I got out of my box for a while. I did my banking business and shopping. We had good dinner. I bought a couple of books. Best part about it is that i have $82 left. I will set aside $10 for meds, $10 for laundry and nd $10 for Doug. I will have $62 left. I plan on spending $40 at the Dollar General Store. i should have $22 left over. Things worked out pretty much as I planned.

yep Life is good.
