According to the news, Fidel Castro has died.
I remember when he first came to power (I was six or seven in ‘59). Seeing his picture on the evening news I thought he was a notably good person - and perhaps he was, at first.
The Cuban Missile Crisis soon followed, and I’d fall asleep wondering if I’d wake up again.
So be it. The world must - and will - move on.
It was 3 degrees at the tractor shop this morning, and no wonder the chickenzzz didn’t want to go outside! I kept ‘em inside for a while, but the ones who dared to venture into the cold stayed kind of fluffed up while outside.
I promised the movie theater I’d go, but it had been a long day. I just bought a ticket, then came home to read some more.
Mini-rant: Why are so many people using the f-word? Four-letter words seem to roll off people’s tongues like it’s normal to use them, but aren’t we teaching our kids the de-evolution of the English language is OK? Yeah, we’re adults, but shouldn’t we also be teaching tolerance, integrity…and respect?
Min-rant over - for now…

I rarely use the word. My husband Aleyn drops it frequently. I think language is important.
