Good news everyone in Musings

I haven’t written in a while. Mostly because my anxiety has been through the roof and I’ve been having trouble putting it all into words. But today I’m here to share some good news.

NATHAN STARTS WORK ON MONDAY!!!

After a grueling 2 month wait for his security clearance to go through and a 6 month wait total it is finally happening. If you’re praying people please pray this is a great job he can work at for a long long time. He’s really excited about it and I’m insanely happy for him.

In other good news, Leah has made her first friend and I have in turn made my first mom friend (well one that lives locally). I happened to run into Sara at the park and remembered her from when we went to church together as little kids. She has two kids now. A girl who’s the same age as Leah and a son who is a year old. The girls played together so well we decided to plan a play date. We had it on Wednesday and it went great. Those little girls love each other and it completely melted my heart. And Sara seemed just as eager to find a mom friend too. It was a complete answer to prayer. After Thanksgiving I think I’ll have them over to our house.

I’ll have both girls to myself all day now for the first time. I’m excited in some ways but nervous in others. Nathan is going to miss his girls so much and will only get home in time for dinner, bath, and bed for them during the week. He’s been so great helping with them so I could have a break or work on orders. It’ll be an adjustment but I think I’m ready.

Thanks to everyone who sent us prayers and good vibes. It’s been so tough and I’m so happy to be saying good bye to that stage of our lives. Here’s to a new job, new friends, and so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
