The Male Contraceptive in Voices Windward

A male contraceptive was shelved because it had side effects and apparently it’s becuase “men are pussies” and “patriarchy”.

As far as I can see, it’s becuase it has some severe side effects, the same side effects that should see women refuse female constraceptives.

Women DON’T refuse these contraceptives becuase that are deemed great liberators and come with additional benefits ie no period and because in many circles, they simply don’t trust men to use protection (even if it was to of had a shot)…

We shouldn’t be demanding men to take a hit when we should be rising women up… It’s not that men should be treated in the same manner as women are, but that women and every space outside fo CIS masculinity should be empowered and respected.

Also it’s not that “men are pussies”… it’s that capitalist factors have decided to remove the choice away from men due to the marketability of such a drug, particularly when there are very strong contenders without side effects such as VasalGel (which acts like a vasectomy) which is being developed as a anti capitalist non profit social venture.

I wouldn’t take the contraceptive, for the same reasons I wouldn’t if I had a vagina, however I’m utterly down with Vasalgel and can’t wait for it to be available....

Out of interest… women, if you weren’t on the pill would you bed a club dude who said “don’t worry I had my shot?”… I don’t think many would. People trust women because the peril of pregnancy is so much more real.
