What country do you call home? Do you like it? Any plans to defect? If you could live anywhere in the world and didn’t have the usual constraints (e.g. family, work), where would you choose?
USA. I was born in San Diego, and moved to Chula Vista, an inland farming community then, at age 4. I discovered the beach in my teen aged years, and eventually moved to Ocean Beach a half block from the ocean. I thought the beach would be a good place to raise kids. Dreamer me. Now I live a mile up the Point above the beach. If I didn’t have financial constraints, I would move back down to the beach.
What brought you to Prosebox? How did you hear about the site? How long have you been a member?
I was looking for a reliable place to journal. I too am one of the multitudes who fled OD. Yes, I have been here a while. LOL
Do you use the site for anything other than keeping a journal/diary? What do you find yourself writing about the most?
Nope, I just keep a journal here. It is a dual part journal though since I have a truly faded memory. A picture with comments at the top, and a diary type entry using a template on the bottom. Perhaps now that I am quilting again, I write more about the current quilt plus books and the ACS Discovery shop.
What features do you enjoy and use the most on the site?
I use the bookmarks extensively, I hop to the top with that little link at the bottom, and I use your instruction manual as the coding here differs from that on blogger where I keep my mirror blog.
If you could get any Prosebox feature you wanted for Christmas, what would it be?
Reader’s choice. I always used that on OD. Age too. I like reading blogs by other’s my age. (75)
Do you have a favorite entry you’ve posted here? If you could point to anything you’ve written as being your purest essence, what would it be?
Not my regular entries, but I am fond of the work that went into the Nazi entries
.Are you regularly expanding your Bookmarks/Friends list, or it is fairly fixed and you’re already content and established with your current readers? Do you regularly browse the front page for new people to read?
Yes, really pretty fixed as I have fifty or more favorites over on Blogger “Postcards” too. Yes, if someone new finds me, I always check them out. I never get through all of those on Bloggert every day, but many are personal friends at both sites.
What advice would you give to someone new to the site who is trying to gain friends and readers?
Leave notes and more notes. If you like what they say, visit every day and always leave a note. Don't be shy...please.Last updated October 17, 2016
