15 this morning. Didn't get up to only about 34. Bob, Jean, and GIna got here about 1130. We all went to town and Jean found something for her Christmas that I had returned. Kathy was here when we got home.

Stayed above freezing all day and cloudy. We did our feeding with the tractor, wasn't bad. Charles and David ate chili with us at noon. Pop went with Chuck to check on some hay and they bought it at Bill McClure’s. I got the income tax things out and at least got started on it.

Me Mon 1-13-2014
I slept horrible last night probably only got 5 hours of sleep. Part of it was I stayed up too late finishing a book and then I think writing these entries has me thinking about the past. I started recalling how I would go with Grandpa to help him chore and how deep in January he would drive his pickup out onto the ice covered pond and I would chop ice for the cows. I could handle chopping in a place that Butch or Gpa had already cut the day before but cutting new holes was left to Buth or Gpa. That takes alot of hard work and muscle. I wonder if I could do it now. Then I started thinking about Figaro and what a wonderful cat he was and how they would never be a cat that I loved that much. I cried for awhile and then Snoop and Gracie approached from either side of me and laid their heads on my arms and started purring so I decided to be grateful for what I have and not cry over what I didnt have.
