This is going to be bad... in Talk Story

Over the internet today:

“Packing 150 mph sustained winds, a storm some meteorologists are calling the “biggest storm in history” will hit coastal regions of the U.S. this Saturday, generating 45-foot waves, and dumping multiple feet of rainfall across an area including three states and two countries.

While the nation’s media — even in the areas set to be hit by the approaching storm — continue to focus on Hurricanes Matthew and Nicole, a more powerful storm is headed for the Pacific Northwest with hurricane force winds cutting a 100 mile swath through the coast of Oregon and Washington.”

In fact we had a tornado touch down in Manzanita, Oregon this morning…

Here in Brookings we continue to have very strong wind (40 mph)… huge waves crashing on shore and washing away parts of the beach… a pretty nifty thunder and lightning storm this morning… and another six inches of rain overnight…

I have just come in from once again cleaning the gutters and downspouts… heavily clogged with leaves and pine-needles…

So… this is my update on the weather we are experiencing here on the southern coast of Oregon…
