What country do you call home? Do you like it? Any plans to defect? If you could live anywhere in the world and didn’t have the usual constraints (e.g. family, work), where would you choose?
I live in the US, Iowa to be more specific. I like it quite a bit. I am too old and too poor to move, though to be honest I’ve always been too old and poor. I probably would not move even if I could. Hmmmm.
What brought you to Prosebox? How did you hear about the site? How long have you been a member?
I am part of the OD migration. I wrote in both places until the other place sunk. I’m not who I used to be. No one is.
Do you use the site for anything other than keeping a journal/diary? What do you find yourself writing about the most?
I am not as devoted to this place as I was to OD. Sorry. None of us are the same people that we were. Life is about change. Having said that, I want to say that I’m glad this place is here. I’m glad there is a place for writing if I want to write.
What features do you enjoy and use the most on the site?
I like the note exchanges. I like the simple format.
If you could get any Prosebox feature you wanted for Christmas, what would it be?
I don’t know. Maybe it’s perfect the way it is. There are features that I’d like but they might complicate things and I don’t like complication.
Do you have a favorite entry you’ve posted here? If you could point to anything you’ve written as being your purest essence, what would it be?
I don’t write here enough. I don’t post pictures much. I have resigned from the human race - well wait, that’s too strong a statement. But it’s not wrong. I’ve given up a lot. And I’m not sure what I’ve got to replace what I’ve lost. Forgive the negativity. I will come pack with puppy dogs and sunshine. Soon. I promise.
Are you regularly expanding your Bookmarks/Friends list, or it is fairly fixed and you’re already content and established with your current readers? Do you regularly browse the front page for new people to read?
I look at the front page. I follow home noters who I like from other diaries. I have a list of people I’m curious about but I don’t feel I’ve made any friends in a long long time. I’ve given up people who seem to me to be negative. Turns out politics and religion and sex divide as more than they unite us.
What advice would you give to someone new to the site who is trying to gain friends and readers?
Be open about your life and your feelings. Write often. Don’t be too long-winded. Respond to notes on your own diary and leave notes on diaries that interest you. Post pictures. Everybody likes to look at pictures.
