interesting things that happened yesterday. in yes i'm aware it's 2016.

well besides the whole me snapping at the guy/unexpected bag check thing. this is stuff that happened while i was at the store. nothing much happened when i got back.

um so. At the self checkout stations they have those shelf things in between them. and so I put my groceries on them. like where the plastic bags are. so i don’t have to hold them while I’m purchasing more groceries. er scanning them i mean. Well the stupid self checkouts are way too sensitive. [as you can tell i’m not a fan of the sensitivity issue].
so I’ve put my groceries on the shelf thing and.it tells me to remove the last item and scan it which I’ve already done. and I go back like 3 times to purchase something. and I don’t want to put it on the floor cause i don’t really like bending down to get things. Sure it was fine when I was like 10 but i was much shorter at the time. [i’m 5‘4 btw. that’s, average height for a woman]. and so by the 3rd time i’m like ‘oh you have got to be fukin kidding me’. let me put the damn groceries down w/o having to scan them again! my god. i don’t use carts only baskets and there’s only so much i can carry. never a dull moment at the store.

and then. well there are the little freezers in between the self checkouts and so I put my scanned items there.and then i’m informed there’s a problem via the computer. oh so this lady comes and puts her basket on top of the freezer where my groceries are. i mean i did kindof take over but her basket and her are in my way. um i’m sorry that i don’t want to hold heavy things when scanning? so I moved them to the top of the freezer dude to my right. except the problem w/ that is at some of them they um have the wire shelves that sell gum and mints on.the freezer thing so there’s not much room for my stuff and i don’t like things being on the edge.of surfaces.

ok so i don’t like close talkers. i also don’t like when people tell me the reason something is/isn’t when i haven’t asked. So the self checkout computer thing told me ‘help is on the way’ as they do.and so the clerk lady came over and I told her that there was a problem or something like that and she’s like ‘it’s probably cause of the bags’. yeah i know. i didn’t ask for a reason i’m just stating there’s a problem. if i had wanted to know the reason i would’ve asked in the form of a question. but you know.

oh so during another of my rounds to the.self checkout dude help was needed again. And so another clerk lady came and fixed the problem and she asks me ‘cash or card?’ and I go ‘I’ve got it from here’. well apparently people can’t hear me cause she proceeds to stand there while I pay for my items w/ my card. People doing that makes me nervous. also I was brought up that. you never talked about money. and you were careful w/ it. not that she knew how much was on the card but it does have an ID # on it and i’m paranoid so.

so the next thing isn’t really a bothersome thing it’s just different. well I.finished an hr. to an hr. and a half early. i don’t know that that’s ever happened before. so I sat in Starbucks for an hr. which was fine except cold. but for once i was actually dressed correctly. yeah my dentist once commented on this. i don’t comment on how much you’re wearing/not wearing do i? no and that’s why. um anyway. i always wear layers but yesterday it was in the 30’s so I had.......um. 4 coats.on i mean. and grocery stores are cold. i’m small. people in amsterdam don’t wear quite that many layers but since i wear.um layers i fit in there for that reason.

so literally a minute before I was about to call her the lady as in the lady I live w/ called me. which is a bit unusual and confusing but um ok. I’m like ‘hi i was just about to call you’. oh i call her to come pick me up. I’ve not walked to the store by myself yet although i could. i don’t know that I’d want to [though i might] when it’s cold out or walk back when I have heavy groceries which I usually do. and also. i mean if she’s willing to take me/pick me up then I should really.like.utilise that. and i do. no there’s not a problem i’m jus sayin. cause other than when i was w/ my ex [yeah it’s weird. even though i lived 15, 20 mins. away from the store we’d drive there.well he would. and i’d accompany him] and well when I moved into my last house.no one’s ever brought me/picked me up from the store. which is fine i’m not like severely bothered by it or anything. and I’ve always lived close enough to walk to it so. yeah in college I lived 5 mins. away from a cvs. well it would take me longer to get ready to go then it would to actually go. [oh i went to college in fl btw]. and not like it’s an issue for her to take me/pick me up. oh i don’t drive i don’t know if i’ve mentioned this. and i don’t particularly want to either.
