I missed an entry yesterday. There was nothing much to write about. Worker came yesterday. She went to the store for me. I needed some margarine. She also stopped at Tudor’s Biscuit World. I bought breakfast two Ron biscuits. These consist of sausage, egg and cheese on huge biscuits. They are so good and I ate both of them. Only problem was I felt very bloated for most of the day. Anyways worker did the usual good job of cleaning my apartment.

I have had this present worker for a long time. I have no complaints about her as far s the her work goes. She fixes a good breakfast cleans up the kitchen, runs the sweeper and dusts. She also does laundry when it needs washed. She is trustworthy and nothing has come up missing. My one complaint about her is that she does not speak to me.

She comes in and I always say hi how you doing. She will answer that. She will ask if I want breakfast and I will say yes. Then she likes to watch tv In between jobs she will watch the OWN channel. I will sit at my kitchen table and read. She does not even look at me. Sometimes it can be very awkward when you have somebody in your apartment that does not speak. A lot of times I am glad when it is time for her to go.

This was the case yesterday. I was glad to see her leave. After she left I read for a while longer called Chocolatechip and she came up. Oh before that she went shopping and she buzzed me on 4returning. I went to get her a grocery cart. Then she came up after my worker left. I was glad to see her.

That was the only time I left my apartment. I spent most of the day reading my book Creation of the American Republic 1776-1787 by Gordon S Wood. Chocolatechip came up again and we played a game of 500 rum. We watched Dr Phil while playing cards. He was interviewing this Stephen Avery guy I wasn’t paying too much attention to it.

We had pizza for supper. It turned out good. Then we watched the local news. It was all about Bill Clinton coming to Steubenville. He was to give a speech at Harding Middle School. They were showing protestors lined up on Sunset Blvd. They were for Trump . They interviewed this one guy. He was president of the local steelworkers union. He was saying Clinton is not welcomed in the Ohio Valley.

She left around six I watched NBC news. I wanted to stay up and watch the VP debate. It was on at 9 Once again I laid on my couch and fell a sleep. The next thing I new it was four am

I remember what Chocolatechip and I talked about while we were playing cards. I was telling her something has been bothering me ever since recertification. I was talking to the girl who did the paperwork. She said to me if I ever want to have somebody move in to my apartment I need to talk to the apt manager. She also got kind of personal about my private life. I thought she was joking at the time and I was joking right along with her. But the more I thought about it the less I liked it. I asked myself how would she liked it if I asked her about her private life. Anyways I keep thinking about what this girl and I were talking about and the more I thought about it the more I realized she was overstepping her bounds.

Then we were talking about something that always make me said. I was saying that I am no longer upset about the fact I’m 65. I no longer am going to worry about dying. Chocolatechip said what is the point of worrying abut dying. ? We could live for a long time or we cou8ld die in your sleep. Best thing to do is to live your life and make each day count instead of sitting around thinking about death. I thought about that and I agree with her. 100 percent.

I felt a little bit down after she left. I thought about the death and dying talk. I am 65 and I am sure not getting any younger. I thought about how many more good years I will have left. Then I said to myself there are people in this building who are in their 80s They are still able to manage and keep their apartments. I said to myself I am still in good health and despite being old I am not ready for assistant living or a nursing home. I plan on being around for a very long time.

Well it is time for the positives. 1 I have a roof over my head. 2 I have insurance that pays for most of the cost of my meads. 3 I have food to eat. 4 I have clothes to wear 5 I have a wonderful fiancé in Chocolatechip.6 I am in fairly good physical health. 7 I have a worker that comes in and cooks and cleans. 8 I am not addicted to alcohol or drugs. 9 I have an SSI and Social Security check 10 I am debt free. 11 I have phone, internet and cable tv. 12 I have plenty of books to read 13 I have a wonderful support system, in Healthways.

Life is pretty damned good and there is no reason to get depressed.
