Releasing "Friends" on Facebook in meh...

Personally, I loath Facebook, but since everyone likes to keep in touch with everyone there I keep it.

There was a group of people I was cool with from the OD days. I was made acquainted with a few more via FB. My favorite person has been showing his horns lately. Well, he’s been showing his horns for a while, but I ignored them until today.

One other person was cool. He was cool enough that when he sent a friend request outside of the group I accepted. I was then made aware of his borderline racist thought outs. It had gotten to the point where I simply unfollowed him. We were still friends, but I didn’t see anything he posted. During the height of police involved shootings of black men he went on these tangents that basically blamed the victim and a lot of other things. He said everything but the N-word and I was like “Why hold back? Don’t stop now. Say it. You might as well have.”

He realized that and wondered how I had taken something he had said. So he asked someone else, who also happened to be black, who in turn came to me and asked. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but I left him unfollowed.

Yesterday I reposted an article that was written by a white person titled “The Real Reason White People Say ‘All Lives Matter’“. I read it and thought it was a cool read and made the mistake of thinking I have all the intellectuals on my page. This is what unfollowed said and mind you, he is a “Christian”:

”bs ,if this was true it be more directed at blacks because they kill each other more then anyone else ,,and claim hands up thats bs like mike brown ,he did not but blm lie and say he did when proven he didnt ,if blacks followed cops orders many would not get shot by cops ,yes black lifes matter but so does all others ,if the blm want to bitch bout shit go after the black thugs who kill each other and innocent black kids that get shot because of of other blacks just shooting at anyone in their way ,yes whites get shot less cuz they dont commit as many crimes and they do what cops say when told unlike the black thugs that blm want to pretray as good people wtf their criminals that pray on their own and others ,if blm want to to good ,start with your own people cuz they are the ones who keep oppressing them selfs by their own actions ,stop blaming others for your own shitty choices made ,”

Reading this, to me, is like reading all the rhetoric ever invented from white and black people alike.

My reply:

*”Actually, we don’t really know at what rate whites kill each other because when whites do it, they don’t term it white on white crime. The media spotlights us more because of this inherent…thing to place blacks in this light of super dangerous, hot headed kill everyone and don’t care about anything. The whole of a race has been marked by the actions of some and the preconceived notions of other. There have been more incidents where compliance gets blacks killed ALSO, so compliance is something you can choke on. Like Eric Garner. Who was complying and put in a choke hold and died. Like Oscar Grant. Who was in handcuffs on his stomach and got shot in the back and died.

And all of these officers are still working while my brothers are gone.

If you and my brother were walking down the street together, both holding assault rifles, with both complying to the orders of a police officer, it will be a slim chance that my brother would make it out unscathed while you would be free to do whatever. What about the man who was killed in a passenger seat as a child watched? He complied, reaching for his wallet, STATED that he was reaching for his wallet IN COMPLIANCE with the officer and was shot in the chest. These are facts of record.

[His name] we are cool, but what you’ve said here is just rhetoric that is constantly regurgitated to help folks sleep at night. Yeah, all lives matter, but all lives aren’t being treated the same.”*

And he agreed with me. The next thing I posted was the guy that was shot in Oklahoma. I don’t believe in the “just follow orders and you won’t get shot” theory because that has been blown out of the water. I don’t usually post videos like that. Then my former favorite got on that and started with “I don’t see any compliance.” So he was meant to die? Then again this is the same guy that posted videos of Osama Bin Laden’s dead sons when they were bombed and killed. I’m about a nose hair and a sneeze away from unfriending him too.

It kind of hurts because I would never have thought this was his true nature. The other guy yeah. I unfriended and blocked him after all of that.

I don’t expect everyone to agree with me. I know people feel how they feel. Some people feel how they feel or think how they think based on things they’ve heard and not observed and they take it for gospel. That’s why mindsets are hard pressed to change.

Personally, I would like the world to live in perfect harmony, but there always needs to be some kind of conflict to appreciate the good times right? I’ve vowed not to go on Facebook for a while. I can’t do it. Well, actually I got a couple of games I play via Facebook so I’ll be there for that but I’m not talking to anyone.

I love everybody and it makes me sad that there is such a division in this country.

I want to buy and island and live on it by myself.
