So, me and the ladies from my April 2016 birth group started round 2 of the weight loss challenge. A ton of other ladies wanted in because they saw a lot of us managed to lose weight so while the first round had 12 participants, this second one has around 24. Which would mean first prize would be 60% of 240 (24 people x $10/person buy in) which is $144! That’d be nice to win for sure! I’m not counting on it though. I will just try my best and see how it goes. I’m not going to starve myself or anything. So, our weigh ins are Mondays now and yesterday was the first one (we are going for 8 weeks again). I went over my calories a couple times last week so I was worried I wouldn’t lose anything but luckily I lost 3lbs! I went from 186.4 to 183.4. I would absolutely LOVE to be like 169ish by the end of this weight loss competition but we’ll see. I am anticipating it being a lot harder now since I am less than 20lbs from my goal weight (I hope to stay at around 165 which looks good on me as I have a medium bone structure and big boobs). But who knows, I could do awesome because Summer is 5 months now and I’m sure she drinks a lot of milk. It’s hard to tell because I rarely give her bottles anymore (she tends to just chew on the tip and look at them like, what is this garbage? Where is my BOOB! haha). I’m still doing my 10,000 steps a day almost every day. I feel so lazy doing like an hour of walking on the spot in front of the TV at night but if it works, who cares, right?

So Summer turned 5 months on the 13th and she has been eyeing us when we eat and chewing when we chew....she started trying to wrestle food out of my hands when I hold her and stuff like that. It’s crazy cuz I wanted to wait til 6 months to feed her anything just to make sure her tummy is ready for it but I gave in and tried giving her some baby oatmeal and she went nuts with it. She was reaching out with both hands and eating it like it was no big deal at all. She was super excited about the whole thing lol. So I’ve been giving her that every evening around dinner time. I even gave her a suck on my apple this week when she lunged for it and she thoroughly enjoyed that. I’m going to break out my baby bullet soon and make her something else. I’ve just been lazy and using the oatmeal up. I have a feeling she’ll love whatever I make her though. It cracks me up seeing her eyes light up when I give her some baby oatmeal. The boys weren’t even ready for food this early! What a little piglet.

I was bored today and didn’t want to stay home since I stayed home and tidied/organized and cleaned with the kids all day yesterday. So we went to the mall. Summer loves being pushed around in the stroller and Miles loves going absolutely anywhere lol. My parents met me there and we had lunch and walked around a bit. I didn’t want to spend a lot but I did enjoy browsing. I bought a couple cups worth of some new tea to try from David’s tea and 4 new hairband bows for Summer. Bows on babies are so freaking cute! I have fun dressing her up :)

Summer is so small that she’s still in her bassinet in our room. I’m going to move her to the crib soon though so I don’t end up waiting too long to do that transition and then have her freak out about it. I just decided today though that I definitely want to paint her room and buy a wall decal for above her crib that says “Summer” in cursive writing with maybe some butterflies around the name. I saw that kind of decal on etsy and it’s only $10 and so freaking cute! Her walls will be light purple. Mike and I will have to paint some weekend soon :)
