Fortunately/Unfortunately in BookThree: Flight Log 2016

Fortunately, Wife seemed to change her mind and was actually excited to make A Walk part of our afternoons.

Unfortunately, it was torrential rain and flooding all evening last night.

Fortunately, that meant that Wife was in the right mind set even if we were just staying home.

Unfortunately, Wife wanted to drink to help keep her in that mindset and we both may have over done it.

Fortunately, we talked for hours about things that were bothering us and solutions to those issues.

Unfortunately, that meant that I didn’t get to bed until after 2 a.m.

Fortunately, I got some pretty good sleep.

Unfortunately, that meant that I woke up at 9:30 a.m.

Fortunately, I was woken up before more of the day slipped away.

Unfortunately, I was woken up by a phone call from my boss.

Fortunately, she’s a mess and didn’t ask why she couldn’t get me in the office.

Unfortunately, she told me that another one of our police officers is under investigation for spousal abuse.

Fortunately, that isn’t a case we have to deal with due to conflicts.

Unfortunately, that means the special investigator wants to see me today “at some point.”

Fortunately, I had enough time to get to the office before he was “maybe going to arrive.”

Unfortunately, the rains last night left a mess everywhere and my lawn/sump pump literally bubbled as I was checking it.

And so on. Or at least… that is how the day has been in its very short period of me being awake.
