an illusion in poetry

Time is an illusion but the entropy that creates the illusion is not.
Sadly, understanding time’s falsity does not prevent entropy.
The illusory nature of time does not ameliorate its side effects.
Time’s conceptual borders are imaginary but that doesn’t change how
it rules over us and guides us, soothes us and tortures us until
our own ill-defined measure of entropic resistance runs out and
we’re over. We’re just over and done.
All we can do is love and have fun
until the illusion’s too quickly done.
