A Most Pedestrian Week Ahead in Everyday Ramblings

So it seems the Photobucket problems may have something to do with Adobe Flash and an upgrade there. I haven’t solved the issue yet but I am getting closer and have my email the photo to myself workaround.

I took this yesterday morning from the train as we were going over the Steel Bridge. Frida and S and me walk that lower path right next to the rail tracks each weekend so it is fun to go by there on the train. I like the sparkle of the river water and the big dramatic sky.

It was a mostly gloomy day (as it is today, we even have some drizzle) so that flashing sun early was welcome. The train was right on time but the bus home was mired in slow slow traffic and I was very glad to have a good book to read and that someone else was doing the driving.

Most Honorable bought a big screen TV so he could relax back and watch the Tour this year and so we watched a little of the Olympics so I could get a feel for it. They are making these gigantic sets finally so they are not such a power drain, which makes me happy.

We printed off a couple of photos. Before he took the photo printer to recycling that had been in my closet in the original box for years he took it out and thought what the heck…the ink was shrink wrapped and low and behold (it is a printer that came with an Apple promotion) the driver downloaded as soon as he turned it on and the darn thing works!

The first print he made was of a photo of my oldest sister who is no longer with us but gave me the printer as a gift. Very appropriate.

Kes is doing okay but is still bruised and a bit swollen from the traumatic ankle sprain last week. We spent the rest of the time centered around her and her elevated foot though I did get to check out the new plants in their lovely garden.

Oh and Jack the cat got a lot of attention too. He is both way more affectionate and more talkative since he lost his brother. Carlo and Diego sent some toys down with me, as their theory is that a manly cat can’t have too many toys…

That’s it, other than work and teaching and healing I am happy that I have a low-key week on the horizon.

As I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately I am glad to have this pedestrian block of time ahead.

Now, if I can only figure out how to watch the Olympics on my own without upgrading my cable…
