Goodbye 200's! in Life as a Mom of 2 boys.....and a girl!!

Today was my weigh in for my Dietbet and I weighed in at 199.8lbs so I won! I only had to make it to 202.9lbs to win so I knew it was going to happen as long as I didn’t go crazy this past week. It was a $100 dietbet so I will see how much I win in a few days. So I started counting calories and exercising on June 27th and since it’s now July 29th that means that in a month I have gone from 214.6 pounds to 199.8. So a loss of 14.8 pounds!! I’m so thrilled by that. I’ve never lost that much in a month before. I’m usually happy to lose 10 pounds in a month. I have been eating around 1600-1800 calories a day and making sure I get my 10,000 steps at least 6 days out of 7. Cody goes back to school in 40 days so it would be nice to be down another 10lbs by then so around 189. My final goal is to be around 165lbs cuz that’s the weight where I feel good about myself and don’t have to exercise like a demon and eat nothing but air to stay at that weight.

We took the kids to the Ripley’s aquarium in Toronto on Wednesday because some cousins of mine I haven’t seen in years were going and they wanted us to go and meet them there. When I say we I mean my parents came in the van with me. So it was me, the 3 kids and my parents in the van. Summer is not a fan of long trips in the van so she screamed off an on. My mom kept trying to settle her from the back seat by giving her a soother and squeaking toys at her but then my dad would yell at her to buckle up, then Summer would scream again. Ugh....I absolutely hate it when she screams in the car cuz there’s nothing I can do about it. And of course we got stuck on the Gardiner getting into Toronto and then couldn’t find a parking lot cuz they were all full. I might not have made the trip if I knew the Blue Jays were playing a game that afternoon (they play in a dome right beside the aquarium) because that meant a TON more traffic. Then once we finally found a spot I asked my dad to park the van cuz the spot was super tight and he almost hit a post with the back of my van!! Don’t ask me why he ignored the beeping back up noise my van makes when you’re about to hit something. It was beeping like crazy and he kept backing up! But anyways....we finally get to the aquarium after all that and there’s a huge line outside in the hot sun. Sounds fun right? lol. We did have a good time at the aquarium once we got in though....Summer seemed mesmerized by the fish and confused by the fact that the place is dimly lit (maybe she thought it was bed time? lol).

The boys and I were really enjoying the aquarium and then an hour into it my uncle decides he’s had enough and wants us all to go out to dinner. We were only half way through at that point. I was like-seriously? I never get to go there and my parents had never been before. So we kind of rushed through the rest of it and went out to eat. I was definitely starving cuz I didn’t have lunch but I was kind of outnumbered since my parents were okay with going to eat too. So it was a fun but exhausting day which is typical with 3 kids.....anyways, gotta go. Boys are hungry for a 2nd breakfast and baby just woke up and wants milk!
