Two entries in one day because i did not write The Lobster up when is saw it almost a month ago. I saw Hunt for the Wilderpeople last night. It was written and directed by Taika Waititi, who is from New Zealand. His most recent film, What we do in the Shadows, what great! It was a mocumentary about a group of vampires roommates and the trials and tribulations of living in a house with multiple people (kind of like post-college).

Hunt for the Wilderpeople is about a 13 year old boy who adores hip-hop and is in foster care. He gets adopted by a couple out in the bush, it’s the wife who really wants him and the delinquent boy, Ricky finds its the perfect place for him. The husband just tells Ricky to leave him alone. Unfortunately the wife dies tragically and foster care wants to take Ricky back. Due to an unfortunate accident (Ricky runs away, husband finds him way out in the bush and breaks his foot, so they have to wait it out for a few weeks to wait for the foot to heal). They find out there is a huge manhunt to find the duo and heart warming hilarity ensues.

Highly recommended!!!!!
