Hot dry Summer in Adventures of New baby and family

Its the middle of summer, I have only mowed the lawn 1 time since the beginning of June..........
Last night I went to flush the toilet and there was no water pressure. Usually there’s no water pressure if anything else in the house is going, wash machine, dish washer etc… but nothing else was on. We did have some work on the house for the sump pump to go out to the street and thought maybe there was a break in our line to the house. The neighbors were out. They teased you broke the water line. So you are having problems too I asked back. They told me the whole area was. Crap....
Looked it up on line. Yep sure was......
Part of me was happy that it wasn’t only our little house but a area wide problem.
So this morning they said that the town less than a block away and the east needs to boil water water and advisory not to drink the water.. Ummm okay. Some how you can’t tell me we were unaffected by this and we shouldn’t boil water. With a 5 month old??? umm yeah, I’m boiling water for him. I got a “cold” anyway from the garbage that went on on Sunday.

Sunday went to a restaurant that we have been a few times before this last visit this year and its been very good. However this last visit was HELL! waitress was slow, the food was even slower to come. Waitress got even slower. There was only 4 other tables in the place full. But the kicker was my food was cold. its like they got it out of the fridge and stuck it on the plate. it was gross. I don’t like asking them to take food back but I wasn’t eating it cold and I was starving by this point. So I FINALLY got it back and took a few bites. My mouth started tingling. WTF?!?!? Still I’m hungry…maybe my imagination took a few more bites. Mouth really started to tingle. Didn’t have a drink to wash it down. Oh no still was waiting on them. I’m assuming it was some kind of pepper and I was allergic to it. Luckily it didn’t close my throat but my stomach burned for days and the acid came up and burned my esophagus, now I have cold symptoms. I have acid reflux on a good day. This plunged it to horrible hell. All they could say is that they couldn’t have sabotaged my food. There wasn’t time. Somehow I feel like the conversation was like this… The sandwich isn’t hot enough for her. So he spiced it up. No I mean its not warm enough needs to be reheated. Or.....if she wants it hot I will make it hot.

So mad at that.....................................

I’m trying to make the summer fun for them since I’m not working.
I still want to take off and do a bit more before I find something. Part of me is nervous to find another job. part of me is okay with it all right now and knows things will fall into place. If they don’t I do have back up.

Still considered a widower.

10 yrs as of Sunday.
Still can get SS survivor bennefits. BUt it doesn’t pay much.
but does buy time
