No need to tell me that once again, the time has come
We’re down to the end of the line
as we part with Ramadan
with its night of 1000 months…

No need to tell me that I haven’t done enough
How do we know what we do?
You can never really tell and it’s tough
Only Our Maker knows what’s true

No need to tell me,
because I am brooding already
wondering when I’ll get lucky
once again, with another Ramadan here with me…
