Storm is a brewing. in A small but passable life.

I tried to get an early start again yesterday but failed. I mean 8:30am wasn’t too late but I was trying for 7am.

I went down and put on a pot of coffee and fed Asscat. When Liam Dog and I went out on the front porch for my first cup of coffee a thunderstorm rolled through. We’re now up to 1.84 inches of rain for the last seven days.

Back upstairs I gathered up my blankie, my sheet, two pillowcases, two washcloths, two T-shirts, and one hankie and got them in the washer. A months worth of dirty clothes! I picked up my hide-a-bed mattress and leaned it against the wall. It sure is heavy for being only four inches thick. I vacuumed both upstairs rooms. I sprinkled more baking soda on the cat piss spots in the other room.

After the laundry was done and the dishes were washed I heated up some leftovers for lunch. That’s the first lunch I’ve eaten in a long time. And it was actually noon.

I put my room back in order and made my bed.

I took the new reel mower out back and mowed the only strip of grass out there, along the alley.

Back upstairs I opened up the lappy and watched another citizen be murdered by the pigs. I then re-watched Jesse Williams’ speech at the BET awards show. And then I found this:

Yep, the pigs are truly fucking themselves.

The store video equipment and recordings were stolen by the pigs. No warrant. Where is the recording of the 911 call that brought the pig swarm to the store in the first place?

(And then again today):

I wonder if the pigs truly realize that no one will be on their side when the shit hits the fan? I mean, hell, they’re outnumbered 300 or more to 1. And their families aren’t safely thousands of miles away and they themselves don’t sleep in armed and guarded compounds or outposts.

I know, I know, when the shit hits the fan most of them will probably run and hide. Like they did during Katrina. Cowards are cowards and even more so when they know they’re on the wrong side of history and logic.

Anyway, I’ve got another non-fiction to read from the stack from Mom that I’d mailed back to Daughter. Five books that Mom had gathered or her road trip back East a decade ago. The subject is the First People and the ethnic cleansing and genocide and land theft that started in 1540. Not pleasant reading.

Oh yeah, Liam Dog and I were up at 7am this morning!

It looks like it may storm again this morning.
