Temps in the 90’s. Afternoon thunder storms. Very typical for this time of year here on the front range. Luckily, we have not had any real severe stuff, although our power was out for awhile one afternoon. Of course, that means the elevator doesn’t work, nor do the garage doors. Gives one a funny feeling. We do take our life comforts for granted.
Not much new or different going on with Papa and me. Trying to get upcoming doctor/dentist appointments synchronized and plan for the timeout I will need following my Mohs procedure on the 11th. Then I really should make an appointment with my audiologist and the GI doc. Things are needing some attention.
I am happy to report that our daughter’s spinal surgery went well and she has been released to go back to work on a limited basis. She tells me that the nerve pain she has been having for many months is gone. Praise God!
Our son, the singer/song writer has a new CD that will be released in the next few weeks. Also on that front, he has organized a band and has booked a few gigs starting July 4. We went to the rehearsal hall they are using a few weeks ago and sat in on their practice session. Reminded me so much of when he was a teenager and had his band practice in our basement… That was 1976 and he called the band Freedom. His brother John was the bass player. Now his bass player is his son “Rusty”. When we were watching them play that night I glanced over at “Rusty” and imagined I saw John.... Just for a second. ~sigh~
I think there is enough shade on my deck by now that I can head out there and enjoy my second cup of coffee.
