Ryan’s really pestering me to come down to Sydney, but it’s going to throw a real spanner in the works with me trying to pay my debt down, and I’m doing so well. My friends still owe me money back to their Margaret Cho tickets, but I haven’t asked for that back until the concert. I have no doubt that Carly will pay me back (She even offered a payment-plan pf $20 a fortnight over 8 weeks, how sensible is that?). I’m just hoping Vish doesn’t try to palm his ticket off as my birthday present to him. I ain’t spending that much on him! Anyway, I still owe just over a grand but considering the expenses I’ve had since and including that damn huge dental bill, so I feel good. I feel I’m doing well. My teeth still aren’t perfect, but they are holding up okay.
A Sydney trip is expensive when I add both flights and an expensive airport train trip in each direction, plus some food. It’s doable, but not fiscally feasible right now. I figure I will go down there in a few weeks when things are a bit easier. Tax-time is also coming up, so I guess this year the little I usually get back will go straight to that.
The work-week is over! It just flew by! I know I only work 4 days a week, but man it felt like 2. And I’m glad because getting out of bed these past two mornings especially has been HELL. I looked at my phone and it said it was 8 degrees and that was at 9am this morning. Yesterday I left at 5am and I swear I had to feel for my balls to see if they were still there. Holy FUCK that was cold. I have no idea what the temperature then was. I’m such a Queenslander. I love my warm weather. This Winter chill is fucked to me LOL. I want it to piss right off thanks :D
I had two really good gym sessions this week. Once was on that freezing cold morning and I went after work today. It’s such a mental battle to get myself into the mood to actually go. I’m glad they have finally fixed the leg press machine there, because it was out of order for at least a month. I was about ready to make a complaint. My membership is up in August and their prices have skyrocketed, but I’m thinking I probably won’t stay at that gym. For their prices, the gym should be a lot better than it is, and machines always take forever to get repaired. I feel like management don’t really give a damn. It’s purely convenient more than anything. I think I could save about $150 if I went back to my old gym, depending on if they’ve also put their prices up.
There’s still water flowing down my street. It’s so confusing trying to figure out where it’s coming from. I walked up to the starting source and it seems to just just flowing out of nowhere from the bitumen. So weird.
It’s been flowing for about a month now, and I always think it’s raining outside because the cars going past have to splash through the water on the road. And it flows to both sides of the street, so it’s not a faint flow. I noticed a Queensland Utilities truck there last week inspecting it, but I haven’t seen them since. I also went on the council website to lodge a leakage report, but there is a link that states all the suburbs and streets where they already know about a problem, but the strange thing is that my street isn’t on the webpage. But I know that truck was there, so I don’t want to report again. They should update the damn website then.
It’s not a big deal. It doesn’t affect where I live. It’s just annoying thinking it’s raining all the time.
I know I already wrote about this in the last entry, but I always repeat myself in my entries haha. I can’t use my bedroom lights anymore. Whenever I flick the light-switch in my room, the lights stay on for about 2 seconds, then there is a mini explosion and a spark from the damaged light socket, and it short-circuits all the lights in the house.
I could hear my housemate flicking his light-switch on and off from upstairs wondering what the heck had happened lol.
I just went to the laundry and flicked the fuse switch back on when it happens, but i have to mentally remember NOT to automatically flick my light-switch on when I enter my room. I bought batteries at work today to replace in my TV remote so that I can use the remote as my available light.
I still haven’t heard back from the landlord about when the electrician is turning up, or if one is, so I have no idea if I can leave the house or not this week. I told him to tell me when he’s organised something, so I guess until I hear something, there’s not much point waiting around.
