High Drama in Day to Day

Last night there was high drama in my street. We were woken at 4am by shouting and banging of wheelie bins. From the bedroom I could see a deranged nutter in the street below throwing pebbles at the upstairs windows of the house opposite. He was shouting and screaming “Rebecca” over and over again. Lights were coming on up and down the road as neighbours were disturbed. All terribly exciting, except, I’d rather have been sleeping. I think there could have been two deranged nutters in fact, but I only saw one. Someone called the police. Oddly, when po-po arrived they knocked on the door of the house in question and the nutter was granted access. The police then went running down the road in pursuit of person or persons unknown.

Today is EU referendum day. I’m voting leave. I’m aware it’s a leap into the unknown. I have no problem with immigration. I don’t understand about trade deals, but I don’t believe anyone is going to stop trading with the 5th biggest economy in the world just because we leave the EU. I don’t see what we get for our net payment of £140 million a week. I’m fed up with rules and regulations. It appears to be less democratic than an independent UK, and it’s frighteningly corrupt. My views in a nutshell.

OK, never got around to posting this yesterday. It turns out that 52% of my country agrees with me and we’re leaving the EU. Arrogant bastard President Juncker told UK only this week that there will be no further concessions if Britain votes out, and that “out is out”. I wonder if he is regretting that now. Several other countries are now demanding their own referendums now, including France, Italy, Nederlands, and Finland. I wonder if Europe will start to come apart now.
