It’s here ……

The weather forecast was all over the shop at the weekend, dull days and rain, for now we are having morning to evening sunshine with mid days being up in the 20’s C.

I have the front lawn to cut, I cut the back on Monday and that was a job, once up the lawn and back I had to put the mower on its side to remove lumps of wet grass; green fingers I had to wash my hands three time until the water ran clear.

Yesterday I bought a new mower, paid for it at twelve mid day and it arrived at 8pm; I put it together this morning looking all nice a new – soon it will be all grassed up!

I was in Truro yesterday, the sale of the remaining plants, there were cake and buns plus a table books cd’s and DVD’s. I had made three and a half cakes, I was told the smaller cakes sell well. I made one large cake for home, then the plan was to back two cakes at a time, I have one smaller tin and a second I borrowed. The second batch turned out I only had enough mix to make one cake and a thin cake, so it was a half cake; I did my best to not look hungry!

I was pleased that all my cakes sold down the last half!
