Sunday evening with pic link in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

I’m glad to report that I’ve no more instances with that crazy pain since I headed to the vacationing doc on Friday morning. I am still going to go see her, but will call ahead and ask them to put me on their list. I expect tomorrow morning to be packed with walk ins and I have no desire to sit and wait for hours. If they can get me in early afternoon then I’ll go up if they are already packed for the afternoon I’ll ask to be the first one on Tuesday AM if possible. I believe it is the heartburn/ulcer to be honest, however, I stayed pretty lazy all weekend. It rained yesterday morning so I cleaned a little, washed dishes and did a couple loads of laundry. I washed the sheets off my bed and dried them in the dryer this time, and even though line dried smell better, clothes dryer dried was still good.

Dad called me mid morning Friday and he wanted to take a soil sample to drop off to get tested. We did that but that office was closed but the soil test reader’s office was open so she volunteered to take the sample to the right person on Monday. We may have to take some money over before they can send the soil for testing but I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to know for sure. It will probably take up to two weeks to get the results back. Then we’ll see from there.

I tied up some of the tomato plants on Friday that don’t have cages around them. When the clouds cleared and sun came out, it was like boom…growth. The green bean seeds I planted on Monday, the 31st started coming up Thursday or Friday and there are still a couple that haven’t broke through, but they will will by tomorrow. I finally got the cucumbers in BBQ grill a home and may have to expand the trellis for them, but will if need be.

Made homemade bug spray and itch stop spray. I’m impressed with the bug spray as it really works. If you work up a sweat, you need to squirt it on again, but that makes sense. And it smells good too. The stop itch stuff works pretty good too and so I made a larger batch yesterday afternoon to have on hand when needed.

Yesterday I made banana bread early in the morning and then washed dishes and washed dishes. Well actually I did the dishes first and then dirtied up again making the banana bread.

Had a stray male beagle show up here this afternoon. Was surprised that Polka Dot didn’t kill him, but so far so good. I even think Polka Dot allowed him to eat the dog food from his pan. He may go to dad if he isn’t claimed and don’t think he will be bu not sure.

I took pictures of a pair of buzzards or vultures the other morning in a tree close to the house. I heard the crack of the top of the tree and when I looked up this huge bird was balancing itself on the dead limb. I came inside to get my camera, hoping it hadn’t flown away and it hadn’t and its mate had joined him/her. So that is the first few pictures you will see if click on the link below or have to copy/paste it. I am pretty sure I’ve got it on the share site the first time or at least I hope so. The photos after the buzzards just show how much things have grown in just a short time.

Take care and God Bless
