NEW YEAR BABY in Living off the Grid

Today is my mother's birthday! She turned 76 years old. She wrote this little story about when she was born--a new year baby

I bet you didn't know that 76 years ago today my name was Dolly. The story goes that my dad's business partner went to visit my mom and me in the hospital. He says to her "what did you name the baby?" Mom said my name was Dolly. He says "well why does she have the name Dolly? That's the name of his old girlfriend." OOPS. You can see on my birth certificate The name Dolly is crossed out and My middle name became my first name. Way to go Mom.
