‘oh damn. you know you’re gettin old when..........you say things like ‘back in my day’ or ‘when i was your age’. see one reason i related to Pat was bc we both knew who ginger rogers is/was. and people ask me if i know who sinatra is. um should’t i be asking you that question? like i don’t care if you like the guy. ‘if it’s too loud you’re too old’. no i just know what good music sounds like. it’s more than just intelligence. i’m just.cultured and educated [not really having much to do w/ scholing] and i like the arts. and class. and pretty things. and even people my age who don’t have that i can’t relate to them. and it just is.

i’d rather say i’m from ‘the states’ than america cause to me america is........well ok larry the cable guy.that kindof thing. and. that’s not me. the reasons i like new york and san francisco is bc ny is. theatre and museums and history. and sf is hippies and art. they’re kindof like europe but.not in europe. the kids these days w/ their ipods and ipads. well back in my day we played w/ slinkys. and played school. but also i grew up around arts and culture.and travelling so. we have this new wave of generation. it’s like ours was here first and now it’s being changed. it’s just weird and foreign and like i’m a time traveler. [well not really but you know. or maybe not]. ‘
