Final Goodbyes in Meeting Mr. Jesus Christ

Closing out 2013 I could share much but this song rather says it all. The year filled me with friendship, love, kindness, loss, renewal, faith, generosity, perseverance, and trials of many kinds.

Most notably and freshest in my heart the loss of two of the most meaningful relationships of my life, to which there Is no return. I'm sure both knew how in very different ways I loved them very deeply and always will. My dog, Tucker, was my constant companion since he was five weeks old. I'm lost without him. My other friend brought to me to the greatest gift of my life and I feel a deep void in his absence. Still, both filled my life for a time and for all of that, My Dearest Redeemer, I am on my knees thanking you for all the goodness, and the blessing they were in my life.

The road is long

With many a winding turns

That leads us to who knows where

Who knows where

But I'm strong

Strong enough to carry him

He ain't heavy, he's my brother

His welfare is of my concern

No burden is he to bear

We'll get there

For I know

He would not encumber me

He ain't heavy, he's my brother

If I'm laden at all

I'm laden with sadness

That everyone's heart

Isn't filled with the gladness

Of love for one another

It's a long, long road

From which there is no return

While we're on the way to there

Why not share

And the load

Doesn't weigh me down at all

He ain't heavy he's my brother

He's my brother

He ain't heavy, he's my brother

He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

         Goodbye 2013
