Not a bad day really.
I got a surprise phone-call this morning from my friend Carly, at around 8am-ish. “You awake?” she asks. “No sorry. I’m asleep right now,” I replied, “Call back later.”

Anyway, we organised to catch up before I had to start work at 11am, so that was a nice surprise. I was going to go to the gym before work but figured that could wait. I hadn’t seen Carly in quite a while.

She picked me up. She said she’d be here at 9am, but rocked up about 8:40am so I wasn’t ready yet haha. I ran out there with my bag and my shoes in hand, and put them on as we drove toward my work, where she parked and we just walked to the Valley to a coffee shop from there.

It was lovely to catch up. She’s looking amazing, as usual. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s lost 50 kilos by now. She just looks incredible. A lot of hard work and taking her nutrition course seriously has done her wonders.

She asked how I’d been, and I told her that my life wasn’t very exciting at all since last I’d seen her, due to being sick as a dog. She asked about my diet and I rattled off my usual breakfasts, lunches and dinners to her. She wanted to know if I had sauces with my meals etc etc. She’s very big on no preservatives and no sugar in anything. Makes sense I suppose.
I told her I’m sure I just had the flu. It’s easy enough to get it from a random customer working where I work.

Work itself was okay. Busy, but productive. My manager went home half an hour after I started ^insert grimmace-face here^. Apparently his son is sick.
So yeah, that means I’ll be behind again already tomorrow.
I didn’t really let it affect me too much though. I just decided, “You know what? I’ll do what I can do and then I’ll go home.” And that’s what I did.
So many tickets were in the wrong spots lol. I even asked the store manager, “Who put tickets up yesterday?” I had to move and remove so many where customers thought they were getting a bargain, but in fact weren’t at all. Shhheeeesh, open your eyes people.
Anyway. Don’t care! Lol.

Carly took a few photos of me since we walked down to the river before heading back. None of them really turned out because of the bad light and time of day I think, but this one seems to be okay. I actually shared this one to Facebook because I figured I hadn’t put a new pic up there in forever.
