Hopeful in Stuff

I felt SO much better today. I was worried since turning my ceiling fan off that I would be too hot sleeping last night, but I woke up feeling quite comfortable. The weather report says that it’s meant to be quite warm over the next week (as in record-breaking temperatures for the month of May). Gee, and yet our government is still deluded enough to say climate change isn’t real ^rolls eyes^
I could go on a complete tangent about how angry I am about the approval of the Adani (whatever the name is) mine in north QLD, but you don’t need to know about my Greenie status.
But I will say that I am VERY happy that an international court ruling ruled Manus Island as being illegal! The Papua New Guinea Prime Minister has called on the closure of the Detention Centre.
Of course our Immigration Minister has already come out swinging with his horrid ‘They won’t be settled here’ statements.
Apparently he is in talks with the PNG PM as to what to do with the refugees, but fuck, hopefully those poor people can at least have a life now and legally apply for genuine refugee status if they choose to do so. Anything’s better than the horrid prison conditions they were in.

Anyway, I finally, FINALLY had one freaking day in this entire past month where I felt somewhat like a human being. It’s still not completely gone, but definitely a noticeable difference. I went for another walk, and was still quite exhausted upon returning, but my coughing was way less. WAY less.

I got an email from my new credit card saying that I’ve been approved for the initial get-you-in-sucker promo, which was the $150 e-gift card, so they told me those details which apparently means I’ll get next week’s groceries for free. Woohoo! So hopefully that’ll work. I screen-shotted it so I’ve just gotta remember to use it in the next 12 months. That’ll be good and help toward paying off the dental bill. I paid $500 toward it today, so I think I’m just back at the balance transfer amount, which I’m not too concerned about.

I went back to the IGA today because I knew they had those choc mint drinks, and I got two more. They cleared my sinuses really well again, so I’ll keep buying them! It’s the only place I’ve seen that flavour sold at. Now if I can just find a shop that actually sells Cascade brand sarsaparilla that isn’t overly pricey. It’s a Tasmanian company but man they make the best soft drinks.

I shouldn’t be drinking soft-drinks but oh well. Whilst on my walk, I started to get depressed for some fucked-up reason, so I came home again and I felt okay again after buying those milk drinks. I’m weird, but hey it worked. I really hope that tonight’s sleep will be good and that I can finally go back to work tomorrow refreshed. That’d be a nice feeling, for once.

I went on Ebay tonight and bought a new pair of gym gloves, since my current ones are falling apart. I found a pair for $8 with free postage that look pretty okay, so I hope I like them when they arrive. I haven’t seen them for under $30 in retail stores, although my current ones were a gift from my friend Moe, which was nice of him.
I also bought a long-sleeved shirt that I liked the look of, but that one is coming from China, so will take an entire month to arrive. I bought the XL size because Asian bodies are tiny and I’m pretty sure their XL works out to be an Australian medium. But yeah, that one won’t arrive until June, but I figure it should be here in time for Winter. It’ll be nice to have a new shirt because I hardly EVER buy new clothes. I’m like the worst gay ever.

Thank fuck for this day of feeling better. I’m not sure what the hell that depressive spout was about. I should be happy that I can breathe normally again. I don’t want to speak too soon though.
Hopefully I’m in the all-clear.
