Time to write... in blackpropaganda

I am getting used to new glasses. In reality I did not need new ones - my prescription has been much the same for a number of years - but when I went with SW.. to have her glasses adjusted I thought I would try out some new, more modern frames - the result - new glasses - and a spare pair with the same prescription.

Bigger lenses, and lighter frames - but then no one has really noticed - but when I took the pic of the old ones I found I had already adjusted to the new ones.
Now, what other body parts can be improved by artificial means????
On the wider front it appears no one has dies as a result of the ‘junior’ doctrs being on strike today. Actually I hate this concept of ‘junior’ doctors - as if they were all in their twenties - it is those below consultant status - and they have a wide age range - there must be a better description.
And at last the truth about the Hillsborough tragedy when 96 Liverpool soccer fans lost their lives has been established officially after 27 years. The lies of the police officers who accused the fans on many things have been demonstrated - the the relatives vindicated.

The crushing of so many people, young and old, arose from major failures of the authorities - but the reason why there were penned in like cattle arose from the hooligan culture of the 1980s - and the fears of violence. We may forget that now - but it is worth remembering the social climate at the time. Thank goodness that is a thing of the past.
Oh, and thanks to Barack Obama for coming to the UK and stirring up the debate about the UK leaving the EU. As someone said in Romeo and Juliet (W Shakespeare- author) ‘A pox on both your houses’. Do I trust any of the leaders? No! I am essentially of cooperation in Europe - and it is being played out as a civil war in the Conservative Party - all the leaders of the ‘Leave’ campaign are essentially losers and chancers - (as are some of the ‘Remain’ people) but they have struck a chord with the great British voter (see ref to D Trump). It is difficult to be enthusiastic but I hope reason prevails - some hope!!!!
Anyway in the BP household we are looking forward to a couple of weeks in Spain soon - especially since winter has returned here. Today I walked with trousers, over trousers, a big sweater, a fleece and an anorak - as well as a woolly hat. The birds are looking for food - and we have a thrush regularly getting worms and slugs out of the lawn I want to know how the bird knows where to push his/her beak. Can they hear the worm moving? Do they work out the best area? Anyone know?
Since SW.. is out I shall tour a few Tumblr sites in search old acceptable/non acceptable pics - but must remember to erase my memory, especially after she found some of my book marks!!!!
