The dentist is completed!
I went this morning, even though I was hacking up my guts for a while there. I just had to make sure I kept my sinuses as clear as possible the moment before going in there, because otherwise I knew I wouldn’t have been able to breathe as well.
I got there and the place was empty. No-one manning the reception desk. I was on time for my appointment, so where the hell was everyone? Surely they were expecting me.
I figured they must’ve still been with a previous patient and just sat down. At 9:05am, I rang the bell, and the receptionist lady appeared. I wanted to make sure they knew I was there, and the longer I sat there, the sooner I knew I’d have to blow my nose again. Ergh, fuck you, body.
At about 9:10am, Dr. Kathy appeared with her smiling Asian face and I went into the same room as last time. She asked if there were any problems and I told her I had pain on that right side and she just went to work filling in the remaining two fillings. Man, it was sore on that painful side though each time they used the water rinse in there. She had to numb it three times before I could handle the pain, whereas for each of my previous visits, I only needed the one, thank God. The needle the second few times I didn’t even feel though, so thankfully it was numb enough to deal with that. By the fourth time, I just told myself to brace for the pain and fight my way through it and stop being such a pussy.
So it’s all done now, not without some complication, again. Apparently one of the fillings wasn’t sitting correctly and she wanted to make sure it was, so she had to push the patient after me back 10-15 minutes. She said that was fine apparently.
When we went out to pay, the dentist apologized to her sitting there waiting, and I apologized as well. The chick just gave me a blank bitch-stare in response. LOL.
I’m so thankful that’s all over. I’m still concerned over what that pain was about but it certainly feels different in that area now because apparently the filling tooth was right next to that one causing me pain or something. Or maybe it was that tooth? I dunno. Either way, it’s filled in and Kathy told me if I experience anything weird once the numbness wears off to come back and she’ll look at it, otherwise she’ll see me in 6 months. YAY!
I’m still not holding my breath though. Putting in a filling when there was pain there doesn’t seem like it would automatically fix the problem. I guess I will soon find out.
As for the other tooth that either needs fixing or removing, it’s one I had repaired with a root-canal around 7 or so years ago and basically there’s barely anything left of it. The options are she can try and repair it back up or just remove it, but it’s not causing me any issues, so I just said I’ll leave it and see how it goes, and once it fucks up, I’ll get it yanked outta there. She said it’s not a very crucial tooth anyway, so yeah.
I paid my final $440 on the new credit card and got the fuck out of there :)
Now to just get the rest of my body better.
