The knives are out.. in blackpropaganda

More on John Wittingdale (see ‘Under the Whip) - the knives are out now as another woman he met on a dating site has told her story to the Mail on Sunday - not my favourite paper - and apparently he was indiscreet with political paper and gossip - had unprotected sex with her while sleeping with the other woman etc etc. The woman giving the story was a topless model at one time.

As a spokesman said - he was single and it was his private life - and a noter commented - ‘he should have seen it coming’!!! He is looking like damaged goods when it comes to making serious decisions about the media in the UK.

Anyway enough of this - from the ridiculous to the sublime - we spent last evening catching up on the Young Musician of the Year competition recorded on Friday night. IT really does make your heart glad to see the accomplishments of these young people - last night five young woman under 18 p playing woodwind instruments. Technical ability was a given (which is still amazing) so it comes down to musicality - and the maturity of their approaches was fantastic. The winner was this lovely young saxophonist from Cumbria - just 17.

And the sun is shining this morning, the birds are shagging in the trees and I am just about to make the breakfast - sit down and read the papers - do the crosswords (to ward off dementia) - and maybe do a little painting.
