sweeney todd, hair, mental patients, rape and ptsd. in yes i'm aware it's 2016.

yeah so like i mentioned my mom i saw ‘sweeney todd’ on Wed. and it was good. and funny. well so he’s a barber as people know. and his daughter becomes a mental patient. well so.........what they used to do back in the day is they used to cut the hair of mental patients. to make wigs. wow things have a dark history.
I’ve always been interested in mental asylums never spent time in one. of course they’re called something different one. [and why would i have w/ how private i am.exactly i wouldn’t]. idinno i like dark stuff.
So his wife..........well at a party she was raped and she..........goes crazy. and what we now know as ptsd might back in the day have been known as ‘people going crazy’. so i related to that.cause i have ptsd and have been........yeah.
maybe it’s a good thing the world’s changed.no it is. w/ how terrible the treatments used to be for mental patients. and the amount of stuff people didn’t have a name for nor did they understand. like w/ my dad’s asperger’s. well up untill I went to college i always thought that’s just how he was. you know quiet not all that interactive w/ people. My mom was always the one asking questions and he.would go off and look at some painting or something. which i mean it was/is the way he is but in college it’s like.oh there’s actually a name for this. my, former psych. dr. was the one who told me my dad had asperger’s. or like w/ my depression. Up untill I was diagnosed at 15 i didn’t realise. that again oh there’s a name for this. i always thought i was just quieter, than other people. which again i was. [and the depression’s only part of that]. um.
a friend [well i guess she’s a former friend now] she.went to a mental institution when she was 16. ok so it was more of a reform school place. The last time we talked was when we were 11.i was a couple months older than her.um but anyway. according to what I’ve read online [now i’m not entirely sure this all happened but maybe.........no also i just.don’t want to believe it] they treated her horribly there. and then she well she left us...........far too soon. i’m not like ‘over it’ or anything also i hate that phrase. i’m just.in a better place w/ it than i used to be.yeah they.frances farmer-ed her in a way. [frances farmer for those who don’t know was an old timey actress who went to a mental asylum and.........where they didn’t treat her well]. but yeah.wow.
