You may have mised this rather tasty story - in fact, no one would have known about it if the BBC had not brought it up the other night - that is, no one outside medialand would have known, since the tabloids knew about his in 2013, but declined to publish. A Tory MP who was involved in culture and media issues at a time when newspapers were coming in for stick over phone hacking had a relationship with a woman he met on match.com. No problem there since he was a divorced man and she was single.
At other times the tabloids might have enjoyed themselves when it was leaked that the woman was in fact a ‘sex worker’ - the relationship was called off - and the papers were seen, by themselves. to be acting responsibly. But it did not go away, and now he is Culture Secretary responsible for the setting up a form of press regulation. Some people are arguing he will not be able to exercise that impartially having been given a favour by much of the press.
Actually, I suspect this is a non-story, if he is to be believed. Still, it throws some light on his sexual predilections - since the woman was a ‘Dominatrix’. So it was not just about her selling favours - but the form they took - and he was not paying for them!!!
Here he is, John Wittingdale - or Mr Wittlash.

Nothing like a bit of a sex scandal to whet the appetite.
And while we are on this there is a family celebrity here who took part in threesomes, but there is an injunction stopping people naming him and his wife - once again medialand knows who it is - and maybe all the US - but here am I not knowing!!!
However - I felt spring was sprunging today when I was following a rather buxom lady wearing tight, really tight, leggings - emphasising her bum, and sufficiently transparent to show her thong. hey, do people still wear thongs these days?
Can’t wait for the hazy, lazy days of summer.
Oh, and we went to the city on Tuesday for a wine tasting - stayed overnight in a Premier Inn, and having taken in an exhibition got home yesterday afternoon a bit knackered. Someone has to do it!
